What's your motto?
It would have to be one from a movie that i enjoy to watch and has always been the thing to live by.
Carpe Diem' - Sieze The Day
from the movie "The Dead Poet's Society" w/ Robin Williams. Its something we all need toi do, because you never know when its someones time to go, so it is up to us to grab the time we have and run with it. Life provides us with many opportunities, that we all need hang on to. Life is a series of tests, each preparing us for the rest...Grab every chance you msy get and dont think, just do!!!! These words are what i haven't lived by...but want to start.
I want to get my editing station and need to talk to my parents, because the money i want to use is money for my first year at a 4 year school, but film and video is something i love and so why not allow my to achieve my dream....and allow my to purchase my editing station. "Carpe Diem"
Seize The Day

- School still the same
- Movie fanatic: "bought Proof, Greaest game ever played, Dead Poets Society, and Ferris B. Day Off"
- Apple updates: "Yeah, love the new iTunes 7 interface, movies offered" ((There is something else))
- Film is still my thing
- Apple is awesome, agnd will only get better with time
"Carpe Diem" - - Seize The Day
more later
well, i started back to college this past monday and well,it is not where i want to be right now to say the least....i have other things that i want to pursue and my college education and the degree plan i am on is not it.
In actuality, i want to work and just work, i want to also get my video editing station soon and start editng (and learning) some film and video footage (i have some VHS and miniDV tape that i want to encode/transcribe to digital) i have in the works a synopsis/treatment for a short that i want to get started on and with out an editng station i therefore cannot do what i want.
Video editng and filmmaking is something that i really want to get started on and movies are something that i like to see, rent, and buy...its a hobby and a passon...so my way of thinking is why not pursue it as a job and you would enjoy ity more and love to do it.
I am tired of school right now and rather than go to school for the next year i can work and start my business the way that i want to and make the mistakes and then learn from them. So the sooner i can get my editing staion, he sooner i can start doing want to iwant to do. "Learn by doing"
Thats all for now,
Are there any snacks, food or candy that are no longer made that you desperately miss?
for me its rather what food/candy now if to disappear would i miss: (i am going to turn this around and make my own)
- M&M
- 3 muskiteers
- skittles
- hershey
- the 100calorie pack oreo
- apple sauce
I haven't left....i am still here....been busy
Ok, so i know i talked about film in the last post, but this is all i have been thinking about in the last few days. At this moment in time, i am registered for college classes, but have not paid...It is truly not what i want to do, and i have a lot of thoughts going around in my head and need time to sort them out. I want to create films and help others do the same. The things that i truly want to do is be a filmmaker, start a production company, and teach other students about this great creative medium.
I wont reveal my film ideas on the web in the dismay that someone may copy them and take it as their own, there is one thing that i also want to do and that is travel all over the US, and just go everywhere. i know that their are many job opportunities, now you just need to find one that is inline with you. A song says it perfectly: Natasha Bedingfield's "Unwritten" says it best: (NOTE: Google the song name to see the lyrics)
Your life is what you make it, it's no one else's to make, except yours, no go and make it whatever you want. I want to go into film and that is what i am going to do, and no one is going to stand in my way.
Thanks
Well, lately i have been questioning why i am in the degree that i am in, and the life and how i live it.I want be a filmmaker, and operate a business. Movies are something that i love and i do not like just sitting in class. I want the straight hands-on type experience. No core classes, that is not what i want. Film, Video, media, is constantly changing and getting better with all of the improvements. For me, its about enjoying what you do, otherwise why do it. I also want to create a consulting/video-production business.
I also what to get film in the hands of students and start a film class in a high school, this would improve students creativity and allow them to use there imagination and accomplish something that they want to do. Also, allowing them to know just about how a film is made. I want to make films and also allow others to create and do the same. Through scriptwriting, camera operating, editing, through post: they can create a film that is unique to them. It would be a Mac only film class, because Mac is better at film, video production than PC. Apple is the main OS used in the industry and it is what i want to use.

Hey all,
i just got back from the movies and saw the WTC....and i must say that it brought back thoughts and flashbacks of what happed that dreadful day 5 years ago. The way the movie was shot was heartfelt and inspiring, not just the stories and the heros that were there that day, but the message behind that story...
I encourage everyone to go see that movie....On 9/11/01, I was a freshman in high school, and was in band and over the loud speaker, they told us what had happened....we all just sat there stunned and thought to ourselves, "what is happening?" We went through the rest of that week, glued to the news stations, clammering for updates on the attack...
Now the question and i would appreciate your comments: What were you doing that day?
Well,
I have decided that i want to write a technical paper maybe two...As I used to enjoy writing, I stopped a few years ago and started blogging to keep up. Well i finished both English 1 and 2 in college, and realized that as i logged on the the wireless network at the school, it was unencrypted, and is not a good thing. the thing that i understand is that students do bring their laptops to school and log on to the web, but the network needs some kind of protection....the question is what kind.....and why.
Sorry to get off there, but as i was saying people need information in order to have better security for their personal information. The other technical paper is going to be over why Mac is better then PC for educations and business, and the like. What distinguishes one from the other and the faults of each. Advantages and disadvantages, and the reasons that one needs to be incorporated in to the society that we live in.
One is better at a majority of the things that we do in our everyday lives. Schools and anything education need to understand the their current configurations are not always going to remain at the ease of use and some people just don't like what they use. Some may prefer one from the other, but the true question is whether it will, hold up in the long run.
The technical papers will be 2 split subjects with each their respective arguments, hopefully try and get some contributors and what they think.
NOTE: then again i may just write in here.
Stay tuned,
K. Holliday
